                              ACT I

 Julia Patterson's apartments in a model tenement on the lower East
 Side.

                             ACT II

 Library at "The Towers," Hegan's country place on Long Island, two
 weeks later.

                             ACT III

 Hegan's private office in Wall street, the next morning.
